When you are easily recognized for your part in an illustrious career of a legendary group like Alabama, it is a tough road to travel to break free of that past and set upon a new path of your own. For Jeff Cook, much like Ringo Starr, he has assembled a group of super talented musicians and singers who take over the lead from time to time and has created an All-Star band whose main objective is to have fun no matter what. Jeff says he does not need or want to "hog" the spotlight.

The Allstar Goodtime Band is a nine-piece group (including Jeff) with a three-piece horn section and percussion. When Cook was forming the AGB, he hand-picked each member based on their stage chemistry along with their individual talents. Jeff says "I put this band together to target the casino, fair and festival demographics. We love playing the diversified music types!" The band refers to their brand of country, soul and rock-n-roll as "funtry music".

With Alabama, Jeff Cook has just about done it all. They were named Artist of the Decade, Artist of the Century, eight times Entertainer of the Year, and then inducted into the Country Music hall of Fame. They sold over 78 million albums, 21 gold, platinum, and multi-platinum albums and had 42 #1 hits.

When Jeff Cook & The AGB hit the stage, it is immediately evident that Cook did not put this band together to imitate Alabama at all, but to have a good time and get the crowd on their feet, which will be the case when we come to play for you!
